Our mission at BCT is to provide the general public, people with disabilities, and senior citizens access to affordable, reliable, and efficient transportation that effectively meets their needs and will assist them in remaining in their homes and community.

We Are Hiring!

BCT is seeking applications for PT bus drivers. Drivers must have or be able to obtain Class C CDL with passenger assistance endorsement. We will assist you in obtaining your license if needed. We are looking for self-motivated, community focused individuals who enjoy working with others. Applications may be found online or at our office, 328 CPL Roger Snedden Drive in Boone. For more information, call 515-432-5038.

Student Rider Signup

If you need alternative transportation for your child to get to school, we are here to help. We transport students from 4 year-old pre-school through high school for a reduced rate $3.50 per trip within the city limits of Boone. An additional rider (such as a sibling) who is riding to and from the same location may ride for $1.00 per trip. If you would like to sign up your child to ride with us, please fill out the Student Rider Application and get it back to us. You can purchase tickets at our office, 328 Snedden Dr. Boone IA, cash or check only. If you have any questions, please call or stop by our office.

Title VI

Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act provides that "no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance" (42 U.S.C. Section 2000d). Boone County Transportation is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its transit services on the basis of race, age, disability, religion, color, sex or national origin, as protected by Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

As a member of the community your input is vital for ensuring that BCT can continue to provide a quality transportation service that meets the needs of the Boone County community. HIRTA and its provider, Boone County Transportation, is responsible for providing a safe, dependable, affordable transportation service. We encourage any rider or concerned citizen to notify either Boone County Public Transportation or HIRTA if they are not provided such service.
